Working with Industry

The centre works closely with industry partners to enable process improvement and technology solutions in the area of logistics and supply chain management. Besides partnerships for training and research, we are open to collaborations in

  • developing technology solutions through R&D
  • carrying out consultancy project with our experts
  • conducting feasibility studies for new technologies
  • using R&D facilities at RP for test-bedding

Supply Chain Innovation Lab

Supply Chain Innovation Lab

The Supply Chain Innovation Lab allows for test-bedding of latest technologies that can be deployed in logistics and supply chain companies. It includes automation equipment, e.g. robotic sorters, automated pallet mover, collaborative robots, and vertical lift modules. To complement the training and education on best practices, there is a LEAN Model Factory & LEAN Model Warehouse for training on how to reduce waste in organizations.

There are also advanced manufacturing equipment such as 3D Printers and scanners, as well as reliability testing equipment for packages such as drop and vibration tester.

RP-ST Logistics Healthcare Supply Chain Lab

RP-ST Logistics Healthcare Supply Chain Lab

The RP-ST Logistics Healthcare Supply Chain Lab is modelled after an integrated healthcare supply chain system.

Some of the key automation equipment in the lab include:

  1. An Integrated Supply Chain Tower System (SiTadeL) that serves as an information hub.
  2. An Icon Freight System that tracks both the air and sea freight shipments in and out of Singapore.
  3. A Cold Chain System, which tracks and traces cold chain deliveries to ensure the integrity and quality of the medical products.
  4. A Telematics System equipped with geofencing capabilities that generates alerts when vehicles breach out-of-bound areas and provides live stream images for secure tracking of medical products.
  5. A Transport Management System that provides a comprehensive view of all delivery points, activities status and fleet management.
