Industry Projects Highlights

Project: Evaluation of visual inspection methods using Unmanned Aircraft System for Singapore Flyer

Industry Partner: Straco Leisure Pte Ltd (Singapore Flyer)

In this project, a Proof of Concept in the area of visual inspection was carried out using unmanned aircraft flights. The output included imageries of the components under inspection for the maintenance crew to certify based on the inspection criteria.

Project: Operationalisation of Unmanned Aircraft (UA) Surveillance Capability in Kacific Commsbox

Industry Partner: Kacific Broadband Satellites Ltd

In this project, a suitable Unmanned Aircraft system was recommended to integrate with the Kacific’s Commsbox. Designed and developed a UA housing prototype that fitted within the Commsbox. Developed safe UA operations video manual.

Project: Drone Photogrammetry Project for St Andrew’s Cathedral

Industry Partner: Helix Re Pte Ltd

In this project, an aerial photography was performed using an unmanned aircraft for 3D Photogrammetry. Collected St Andrew’s Cathedral internal and external images for 3D reconstruction with Helix Lidar scan information. Created a 3D model of St Andrew’s Cathedral.
