What You Will Learn

Renamed from Diploma in Industrial & Operations Management

The Diploma in Business Process & Engineering Management (DBEM) is designed to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively utilise data, analytics, and modelling tools in decision-making processes. By mastering these tools, students will be able to optimise processes, manage resources efficiently, and drive business success.

The comprehensive curriculum covers various subjects essential to the sales & operations planning process. Topics include business process fundamentals, operations planning and management, cost analysis, data-driven decision-making, human factors engineering, lean principles, process mapping and modelling techniques, project management, quality management, resource management, and entrepreneurship.

Through hands-on applications of analytics in business operations, students will learn how to enhance efficiency, increase productivity, reduce costs, and ultimately improve profitability. 

DBEM stands out as a versatile diploma that provides valuable skill sets applicable across diverse industries. Graduates are well-equipped to pursue careers where their expertise in business process management, operations management, and productivity improvement are highly sought after, irrespective of industry sectors.

Guided by helpful lecturers and being exposed to practical learning experiences, this is where I found my passion for the maritime industry.
