Success to me is about building enough confidence to manage life’s challenges as they come my way. As an introvert, I was not a great conversationalist, but thanks to the Problem-based Learning pedagogy in RP, I grew out of my shell and am now confident in my interactions with customers. Armed with all that I have gained from the DCBX course, I am now confident of creating unique experiences for the hospitality business.

I’m grateful for the experiences and knowledge that I’ve gained during my time in this course. It has shaped the way I apply my knowledge to the working world. The course has made me realise the appeal of the hospitality industry and my career is on a trajectory towards it. While pursuing a Bachelor of Business Management with a Major in Marketing and Communications Management with Singapore Management University (SMU), I interned at SMU Academy with the Marketing and Communications department, and also completed a six-month exchange programme at BI Norwegian Business School (the largest business school in Norway).
Sindu D/O Selvam
