Another year, another new challenge just for youths! The iTourism Challenge invites youths to put forward innovative ideas to reimagine the Singapore tourism and hospitality landscape. This year, we challenge youths to envision the future of Singapore’s tourism landscape whilst fostering positive changes in five different sustainability aspects. The students would also stand a chance to pitch and share their intriguing ideas to industry players and Singapore Tourism Board!

Main Problem Statement
This year, we are back with not just one, but five challenging and exciting problem statements for you to choose from!
These five problem statements are still focused on sustainability, in particular:
1. The challenge is designed for the Upper Secondary Category (Sec 3 and above).
2. Teams of 3-5 members will explore the solutions to the specified problem statement.
3. Teams must complete all the mini modules at the RP Tourism Discovery Trail at Republic Polytechnic Campus.
4. Each team will present their solution to a panel of judges from the hospitality and tourism industry and Singapore Tourism Board. Each team will have 5 minutes for the presentation.
5. Following the presentation, there will be a Q&A session lasting for 1-2 minutes.
Champion: $300 vouchers or equivalent 1st Runner-up: $200 vouchers or equivalent 2nd Runner-up: $100 vouchers or equivalent
Dong Limin is the Director of Tourism Human Capital and Sustainability at the Singapore Tourism Board. In both areas of work, she drives the development of strategies and programmes through working closely with tourism stakeholders, including government agencies, educational institutions, industry association, and private sector organisations, to ensure that the Tourism Sector is well-placed to meet the challenges of the future.
Prior to taking on this role in May 2023, Limin has held various portfolios in the areas of Risk Management, Procurement and Finance since joining the Singapore Tourism Board. She holds a Master of Public Administration from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy as well as a Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) from the Nanyang Technological University of Singapore.
