Following the successful collaboration established in 2011, DBS and Republic Polytechnic (RP) renewed their partnership with their third Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 9 November 2018 at the Republic Polytechnic Industry Centre. Signatories were Ms Geeta Sreeraman, Head of SG Customer Centre, DBS and Mr Ashley Chua, Senior Director of Industry Services and SkillsFuture, RP.

The three-year MOU covers an extensive range of collaboration activities including student attachment programmes, scholarships, staff exchanges and joint projects.

DBS came on-board as a partner in RP’s Industry Immersion Programme (IIP) back in 2011. DBS’ first MOU with RP, signed in 2013, saw the company offering its first polytechnic scholarships to promising talents from RP’s Diploma in Customer Relationship and Service Management (now known as Diploma in Customer Experience Management with Business - DCXB) to develop their careers in DBS Customer Centre. With the second MOU signed in 2015, DBS continued to support RP students in the same areas and collaborated with RP schools, such as the School of Hospitality, School of Management and Communication and School of Infocomm.

In light of the renewed relations, DBS will be introducing an enhanced internship programme for RP’s DCXB students. The programme aims to provide new training and career opportunities for students aspiring to embark their careers with DBS Customer Centre.
