Project CompassioNATION launched during the Caring Commuter Week 2021

The Caring Commuter Report of more than 2,000 commuters in Singapore was presented at the launch of the inaugural Caring Commuter Week on 27 Nov 2021, graced by President Halimah Yacob.

SOH Diploma in Customer Experience Management with Business (DCXB) students have been working with the Public Transport Council (PTC) to help play a part in the SG Caring Commuter movement via the Project CompassioNATION.  Helmed by an enthusiastic and passionate team of DCXB student leaders, the Project is a collaboration among PTC, the Land Transport Authority and SG Enable. During the first run of Project CompassioNATION on 2 September 2021, 46 students including the core team were in the training session. In line with the opening of Woodlands Integrated Transport Hub (ITH), the team hopes to educate and mobilise these students to be a source of support when spotting any vulnerable commuters in the vicinity.

Additionally, the student leaders also envision Project CompassioNATION to promote a caring commuter culture in Republic Polytechnic and eventually throughout the nation.

Our students got the opportunity to learn more about how to help vulnerable commuters, and express their creativity through designing the wall murals at Woodlands Integrated Transport Hub.
