Kenneth, the Module Prize Winner in 'AI and Machine Learning,' seized the opportunity to embark on an overseas internship in Japan as soon as travel restrictions eased up.

Aligned with his skills acquired in RP, the Diploma in Digital Design & Development (DDDD) graduate wrote an AI project for the board game NovaLuna using Java and utilised genetic algorithms and evaluation functions that developed and trained the model, as part of his internship work at the National Institute of Technology, Gifu College, Japan.

Thrilled to venture into another country with cultural differences, Kenneth was immersed in a new environment that allowed him to learn relevant technical skills while expanding his horizons. Through this overseas internship programme, Kenneth gained and learnt more about technology in Japan and improved his intercultural fluency and communication.

Driven by her passion and ambition, Ke Wen Jun did her internship at a global threat-hunting and adversary-centric cyber intelligence company that specialises in investigating and preventing hi-tech cybercrimes. The security management graduate had the opportunity to explore cloud forensics when she was assigned to do research in that area.This invaluable experience not only provided her with industry insights but also exposed her to real-world challenges, allowing her to gain first-hand knowledge and experience in addressing these issues.

Samuel Chew ventured out to Vietnam to hone his technical skills and nurture his entrepreneurial spirit, as part of his industry immersion. With his goal in mind and a clear plan to execute, he seized every learning opportunity, especially during his overseas internship. His strong interest in entrepreneurship pushed him to fully utilise his time as an intern by learning as much as he could.
