Congratulations to alumni Celeste Ng and Charlene Ng, recently named among the 25 young talents in the Girls in Tech category of the SG 100 Women in Tech (SG100WIT) list. The list was unveiled at Tech3 Forum 2025, organised by the Singapore Computer Society and supported by the Infocomm Media Development Authority.

Celeste’s ambition to become ethical hacker was driven by her fascination with how technology can help protect people from cyber scams and attacks. This led her to enrol in the Diploma in Infocomm Security Management (DISM, now Cybersecurity & Digital Forensics) to gain the skills needed to make the digital world safer. At RP, she co-founded HackStart, a group dedicated to making hackathons more accessible to students. The Woodlands Ring Secondary School alumna also hosted talks at girls’ schools to inspire young women to explore tech opportunities.

Charlene’s interest in cybersecurity was sparked after a hacking incident on her personal Instagram account. “The course inspired me to build the skills needed to help prevent others from facing a similar situation,” she shared. Her achievements include showcasing her final-year project at the GovWare Conference and Exhibition and serving as a Community Team member for DiV0-N0H4TS, a community of cyber enthusiasts, where she organises workshops and networking events. Her dedication earned her AISP’s Student Volunteer Recognition Bronze (2023) and Silver (2024) awards.

Both are now pursuing Computer Science degrees — Celeste at NTU and Charlene at SIM-UoW — while continuing their mission to protect Singapore’s digital landscape and inspire the next generation of women in tech.
