A Day in Navy Hackathon 2025
RP School of Infocomm students Stefanie Poh and Jena Leanne Goh culminated their polytechnic journey on a high note, having absolutely crushed it at the A Day in the Navy Hackathon 2025 held on 13th & 14th March 2025, and emerged as WINNERS!
The duo created a gameplay experience reflecting the 6 RSN (Republic of Singapore Navy) vocations and truly impressed the participants. Unlike traditional naval games focused on combat, Hori-RSN immerses players in the daily life of a Navy ship engineer—balancing maintenance tasks, crew interactions, and preparing for a high-stakes diplomacy mission. The game brilliantly highlights the RSN’s role in diplomacy, teaching players through engaging simulation and relationship-building mechanics.
Key features of the game:
🔹6 RSN vocations integrated into gameplay
🔹 Deep crew interactions & career discovery
🔹 Call-to-action inspiring real-world career exploration in the Navy
Stefanie and Jena Leanne’s win isn’t just about code—it’s about storytelling, education, and redefining naval games!
