RP's SmartCare HealthIoT has emerged as one of the Top 5 Award Winners for the Lee Hsien Loong Interactive Digital Media (IDM) Smart Nation Award 2023.

This award recognises IDM projects by polytechnic students that fulfil the Smart Nation vision of harnessing technology to improve the lives of citizens, create more opportunities, and build stronger communities.

The integrated home automation smart healthcare device seeks to provide a comprehensive solution for medication management for the elderly and their caregivers. Functions of the device include active reminders to take medications, automatic dispensing of medications through facial recognition, and data analysis through seamless integration of Internet of Things (IoT) technology.
