Fun with F&B Entrepreneurship
Have you always been intrigued by the buzz around you when you dine out at a restaurant? Or perhaps you have some interest in the culinary arts and wish to start your own F&B business in the future?
This module will teach aspiring entrepreneurs and restaurateurs how to start and manage their food and beverage (F&B) business. Through a variety of hands-on activities, students will:
- Appreciate the contributions of the local F&B sector to the economy and the latest trends in the industry
- Learn about basic F&B management, including front-of-house operations, quality control and menu planning
- Craft a simple F&B business plan and design their dream F&B businesses
They will also get to analyse case studies of local and global F&B businesses; and take a tour to understand various F&B establishments better.
This Applied Learning Module (ApLM) is also a great opportunity for students interested in applying for SOH’s Diploma in Restaurant & Culinary Management to get a taste of what is in store for them.
