Republic Polytechnic Hospitality Race

The Hospitality Race 2018 is organised by RP School of Hospitality to provide participants with insights into the business of hospitality industry, undoubtedly, one of the fastest growing sectors in the worldwide economy.

The Race showcases a wide range of hospitality career possibilities in areas such as airlines, customer experience, culinary, events management, hotel management, restaurants, sales and marketing, to wellness and health management.

Guided by SOH lecturers and student leaders, participants race around Singapore to various visitor attractions and immerse themselves in the workings of this dynamic industry through a series of challenges designed to simulate key business operations in the hospitality industry.

The Hospitality Race is a great opportunity for students who are considering a career in tourism and hospitality to gain industry exposure and insight.

Students also stand to win prizes including vouchers, trophies, medals and certificates. The Race is also a great exercise to:

  • Improve their teamwork;

  • Hone their time management, strategising and problem-solving skills; and

  • Strengthen their communication skills and boost their self-confidence.
