What You Will Learn

Immerse yourself into the world of arts and culture with the Diploma in Arts & Theatre Management (DATM). Learn how to balance your creativity with a keen aesthetic eye and core technical skills, combined with arts management expertise for a successful career in arts and theatre management from both local and international perspectives.

Stage and production management, marketing, front-of-house and venue facilities management, stagecraft and production design are highly sought-after skills in various creative industries. With hands-on experience and practical training at our purpose-built Black Box at The Republic Cultural Centre (TRCC), you will gain the essentials needed to take your career in theatre and ‘live’ entertainment to the next level.

Our industry attachment opportunities at established arts organisations and theatre companies, together with industry-linked projects, will give you a real glimpse into this exciting and vibrant industry.

In this industry, we are expected to be creative while working with limited resources and constraints. In DATM, we learn to think outside the box and work realistically within boundaries. We are given a lot of exploratory space to experiment and having been able to work with people of different roles opens my mind. Our lecturers constantly share with us valuable industry experiences, and emphasise on the importance of staying curious.
