Scientific Thinking Programme
In its 14th run, the Scientific Thinking Programme (STP) registered 42 teams from 16 secondary schools for this five-month mentorship programme. More than 70 per cent of the students came from RP feeder schools.
The projects focused on solving everyday problems through simple scientific solutions. Some of them looked at how Singaporeans could make their plants grow better. Another studied the anti-bacterial properties of mucus from humans, frogs and fish as a potential source of bioactive raw materials for cosmetics and cleaning products.
