Leisure Travel and Attractions Management

Singapore is one of Asia’s leading travel destinations, and attractions like Universal Studios Singapore and the Singapore Zoo help to enhance Singapore’s image as an exciting tourist destination. This Applied Learning Module (ApLM) allows students to gain a broad understanding and appreciation of the business and operation of theme parks and attractions. Students will also get the opportunity to visit an exciting theme park and/or an attraction in Singapore. Previous ApLM field trips include visits to Universal Studios Singapore and the National Museum of Singapore.

Students doing this module will:

TPA
  • Explore actual theme park/attraction facilities and learn about how they operate up-close
  • Understand the various operational challenges facing theme parks and attractions, and discover how they tackle and resolve them
  • Learn how attractions differentiate themselves by designing and delivering unique guest experiences

This ApLM will also give students a taste of SOH’s Diploma in Hospitality & Tourism Management and Diploma in Events & Project Management.
