Building upon the successful collaboration we’ve enjoyed over the past years, Republic Polytechnic (RP) is thrilled to announce the extension of our partnership with leading semiconductor manufacturer GlobalFoundries for another 5 years.

More than 190 students from the School of Engineering, the School of Applied Science and the School of Infocomm have pursued internships and short-term work attachments at GlobalFoundries since the commencement of our partnership. GlobalFoundries has also conducted campus recruitment activities with RP and some of our students have gone on to pursue careers at the company. Furthermore, the company has proudly sponsored academic awards for our students since 2008 in the form of diploma and module prizes. These activities are set to continue in the coming years.

In the spirit of mutual cooperation, we’ll continue to offer GlobalFoundries employees upskilling opportunities through our part-time diplomas and Work-Study Programmes. Also, there’ll be continued collaboration on staff and student-led research projects as well as industry talks and visits conducted by GlobalFoundries’ counterparts.
