    Tan Kah Kee Young Inventors’ Award Ceremony 2022

Congratulations to SEG Students and Graduate from the Diplomas in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (DEEE) and Aerospace Engineering (DAE) for winning the Tan Kah Kee Young Inventors’ Awards 2022.

Tan Kah Kee Young Inventors’ Award (TKKYIA) encourages young students to be curious and apply scientific principles to create innovative solutions in inventions. It is jointly organised by the Tan Kah Kee Foundation (TKKF) and the Ministry of Education with support from the Science Centre Singapore.

Three DEEE Year-3 students won the Judges’ Award in the Senior Category for their project in “Development of New Mechanisms for Accelerated Gas Purging & Remote Inspection of Aircraft Fuel Tanks”. They are:

  1. Mr. Afiq Bin Rosli

  2. Mr. Yuhaesh Chandrasekaran

  3. Mr. Muhammad Shamirzan B Khairul


Mr. Brian Paul Naduvely, a 2022 DAE Graduate won the Commendation Award in the Open Category for his project in “Newly-developed System for Accelerated External Cooling of Hot Brakes of Transport Aircraft Wheels after Landing using Water Mist and Latent Heat Method”.
